PRAIRIE CITY SVRA RACEWAY PARK
This is where it all began in 2001, with the first ever organized Vintage Kart event! The official name given to the event was the 1st Annual Vintage Kart Reunion. It was a gathering of who’s who in karting, when this sport was in it’s infancy. Add in a few new drivers, who just had a sincere interest in Vintage Karts, and you have a great big fun event, with a lot of old memories bench racing.
Thanks to Dean Seavers, a Vintage Kart driver, who does a great job organizing these events, and to Rob Jones/ Mitch Gillick, who corralled me when exiting a Nor-Cal meeting, November 2000, inquiring me as to weather I would have an interest in promoting a Vintage Kart event, and allowing them to run on our track. The rest is history!
